About Lip Micropigmentation


  • Micropigmentation is a tattooing technique which helps to create fuller and more defined look by adding natural color.

  • Micropigmentation requires a second session 4-6 weeks from the initial appointment for most of the clients to obtain desirable results.

  • Of all permanent makeup procedures, lip coloring is the most sensitive.

  • The healing process normally lasts up to 2 weeks.

  • Depending on your skin type and care, the pigment will fade slowly over 12-18 months.

  • The initial appointment lasts approximately 1,5 hour and touch-up around 1 hour. 

Before Lip Micropigmentation


In order to avoid excessive bleeding and poor color deposit:

  • No alcohol 24-48 hours before the procedure.

  • No caffeine 24 hours before procedure.

  • No Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Advil/Ibuprofen 24 hours before procedure. (thins the blood).

  • No workouts the day of the procedure.

  • No microblading at least 3 weeks after Botox around the brow area.


  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning begs one week prior to procedure.

  • No upper lip waxing, or chemical peels one week before.

  • Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

  • Discontinue Vitamine A/ Retinol products within a month prior to treatment.​



Follow the directions  to properly take care of your skin after microblading:

  • Keep your new lip color well lubricated (Aquaphor ointment or similar).

  • No lip makeup for at least a week.

  • Avoid picking, peeling, scratching or kissing (next 2 weeks)

  • Avoid saunas, swimming, and excessive sweating until the area is completely healed.

  • Sun tanning or salon tanning are strongly not recommended for the next 6 weeks. Then, afterwards, it is wear SPF lip balm to prevent the color from fading.

  • Before brushing your teeth apply ointment over your lips that will prevent them from irritation. Also, avoid teeth whitening (about 2 weeks).

  • Also avoid laser or chemical treatments or peelings.

  • No smoking while your lips are healing (about 2 weeks).

  • You will need to continue your anti-viral medication (if you are using one) until the end of the prescription.

  • Use the straw.

  • Avoid sour, greasy, salty, oily or spicy foods until your lips are completely healed (about 2 weeks).


What to expect after the procedure?


  • Right after the procedure your lips will look slightly larger.

  • The color will appear brighter and more intense than it will look when the skin completely heals.

  • Color will significantly fade up within the first 2-3 days. 

  • You leaps will start scabbing, pealing and only after natural exfoliation has happened, scabs healed, new skin formed, and the color starts emerging.

  • The entire healing process will take roughly up to 2 weeks​.


Am I a good candidate for Lip Micropigmentation?


  • Under 18 years old.

  • Pregnant or Nursing.

  • EVER had chicken pox OR pron to fever blister and a cold sore.

  • Major health conditions (unless you have doctor's note).

  • Have lip fillers injected less than 1 month ago.

Micropigmentation is a two-step process.  Two visits should be completed to achieve best results.
