Microblading or Shading
Updated: May 29, 2019
“Should I pick microblading, powder brows/shading or combo of both?”
That’s definitely one of the most common questions I've recently received from my clients.
The choice should be made based on the few different aspects like skin type, how thick are your eyebrows and eyebrow hairs, desirable coverage, old PMU leftovers.
For individuals with an only skin I would highly recommend going with the powder brows (machine technique). No matter who much you like delicate defined strokes created by microblading it would be extremely hard to maintain them looking the same way once they healed on the only skin. Hair strokes tend to look rather diffused instead of crispy due to the oil produced by your skin.
Dry and normal skin types are great for all permanent makeup techniques and in this case you should rely on the desired look and natural thickness of your eyebrows.
If your eyebrows are thin and light (or light either thin) microblading only might not give you enough coverage that’s why combination of two techniques would be your best option.
If you have your eyebrows done previously especially if color correction is required I recommend microblading/shading combo. However, I have to see what you have before booking the services. Some of the old PMU is easily coverable some might require a removal before any new procedure could be done.
